ASSOCIATIONS
Tri-Gold Primetime Chapter of American Business Women’s Association will meet Wednesday at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. A social at 5:30 p.m. will be followed by dinner at 6. The meal consists of creamed chicken over biscuits, beef tips and noodles, mashed potatoes, seasoned carrots, salad, roll and dessert; the cost is $19. Afterward a program on women inventors will be presented by member Elena Nigro, who is this year’s chapter woman of the year.

St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital/St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital Auxiliary will meet at noon Monday in the private dining room of St. Elizabeth on Belmont Ave. Guest speaker will be Cathy Grizinski, associate director of Help Hotline.
CLUBS
Mahoning Valley Stamp Club will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at Highway Tabernacle, 3000 S. Raccoon Road, Austintown. The club meets the second Thursday of each month.
Western Reserve Amateur Radio Club will have its monthly meeting May 17 at Davidson’s Restaurant, 3636 Canfield Road, Cornersburg. Dinner is at 6 p.m. with the meeting at 7. Janice Jasinski, a CPA and principal with Schroedel, Scullen and Bestic, LLC, accounting firm in Canfield, will make a presentation on identity theft. The club provides ongoing amateur radio licensing classes and examinations. All licensed amateur radio operators and those interested are welcome to attend and learn more about the hobby. Youngstown Mothers of Twins Club will meet Wednesday for a ladies night out with a bus trip to Mountaineer. Cost of the trip is $30 per person. The bus will depart at 4:30 p.m. from Affluent Travel, 9939 South Ave., Poland. If arrival is after 6 p.m. to Mountaineer, they will revoke $25 in free play. Retired Registered Nurse Interest Group will meet for a catered luncheon at 1 p.m. May 24 at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. The menu comprises city chicken, mashed potatoes, vegetables and apple dumpling with beverage. Cost is $17 per person and reservations must be made by May 16. Transcendental Interest Group will have its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Park Vista North Lounge, 1310 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. The meeting will focus on Saint Damien, a Belgian priest who cared for those with leprosy on the island of Molokai until succumbing to the disease himself. The meeting is a continuation of the Mahoning Valley Lifelong Learning Institute event Tuesday. The group is for those interested in exploring the inner way of knowing. Friends of the Boardman Library will meet Monday in the library community room, 7680 Glenwood Ave. Refreshments will be served at 9:30 a.m. and at 10 Traci Manning will present “Pioneers of the Valley.” Hostesses will be Beverly Yurcisin, Doris Almasy, and Reene Cole. Donations of books, magazines, CDs and DVDs are welcome the first and third Saturday of the month from 9 a.m. to noon. Proceeds support the summer reading program.

Church Hill United Methodist Church, 189 Churchill-Hubbard Road, Youngstown, will host “grief share” beginning May 19. It is a 13-week program and will run through Aug. 11.
