$19,146 grant to YSU for nurse anesthetist trainee program

YOUNGSTOWN

U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan of Howland, D-13th, announced a $19,146 grant to Youngstown State University.

This federal grant comes from the U.S. Department of Health and Human services and will go to a YSU nurse anesthetist trainee program.

“I am proud to have had the opportunity to help YSU secure this important funding. Northeast Ohio is known far and wide for our world-class health-care industry, with almost 50,000 health related jobs in our Congressional District alone. This funding will allow our young people get the training and experience they need to be ready to enter the workforce and continue our region’s legacy as a leader in the field of healthcare,” Ryan said.
