Planning meeting for for fest is Thursday

Game Changers Leadership and Peer Mentoring Initiative is hosting a meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Tech Belt Energy Innovation Center, 108 Main Ave. SW., to plan the Warren Community Fest.

This is a nonprofit organization whose focus is student guidance, academic achievement, mentoring and character building. It helps maintain and increase the retention and graduation of high school student athletes, and change the culture within schools and sports.

Warren Community Fest will take place June 25 and will feature a 5k walk/run, Taste of Warren and other festivities.

It will be a family-friendly event highlighting businesses and organizations that are staples of the Warren community.

Volunteers, vendors, food trucks, entertainment and vendors are being sought.
