12 individuals, two teams to be inducted into Fitch Hall of Fame

AUSTINTOWN

The Austintown Fitch Athletic Hall of Fame will induct 12 members and two teams at the Sept. 17 banquet at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Center.

The inductees include: Bill Crawford, 1959 graduate, football; Rebecca Whetson Essenbacher, 1994, volleyball, basketball and softball; Leo Hawkins, 1987, football, basketball, wrestling and track; Don Hernan, 1974, wrestling; Tom Hernan, 1972, wrestling and football; Ralph Iagulli, 1939, football and basketball; Rich Kempe, 1973, track and cross country; Ken Riefler, 1976, track and football.

Also to be inducted will be: Burt Stellers, 1988, basketball; Ed Wilson, track coach; Linda Snovak-Rice, 1976, track, cross country and basketball; and Wade Young Sr., 1952, baseball and basketball.

Teams to be inducted are: 1977 baseball team/coach Rich Coppola and 1980 boys basketball team/coach Rich Denamen.
