City police arrest 3 on weapons charges

YOUNGSTOWN — Police arrested three people Monday on weapons charges and found three guns inside an SUV on the South Side.

The SUV was pulled over about 3:45 p.m. at Marion and Heasley avenues after police responded to a fight on Ellenwood Avenue with weapons.

The SUV matched the description of a vehicle that was at the fight, reports said. The two men and woman who were arrested were booked into the Mahoning County jail.
