Watercolor, collage workshop at YWCA

YOUNGSTOWN

“Make 1, Take 1,” a watercolor and collage workshop, will take place from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. May 10 at YWCA of Youngstown, 25 W. Rayen Ave.

Brenda Myers Cohen will instruct participants on the art of making a 5-by-7-inch project – either on rice paper with watercolors or a collage.

Each participant will make two pieces: one to keep and one to be donated to support YWCA housing programs in conjunction with “Women Artists: A Celebration,” YWCA’s annual juried art exhibition. The donated pieces will be auctioned at the show’s preview party June 17 and will be available for sale throughout the exhibit.

The cost is $5 per person. All supplies are included. Participants may bring a brown bag lunch. Registration is required by Tuesday. For information or to register, call 330-746-6361, ext. 102.
