The Youngstown Department of Parks and Recreation is participating in the summer food-service program. Meals will be provided free to all eligible children at residential or nonresidential camp. Children must meet the income guidelines for reduced-price meals in the National School Lunch Program. Children who are part of households that receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance program benefits or Temporary Assistance to Needy Families are eligible automatically.
Breakfast will be served at 10 a.m. and lunch at 1 p.m. at the following Youngstown sites from June 15 through Aug. 10: Crandall Park, 400 Redondo Road; Lynn Park, 140 Lynn Ave.; Glenwood Park, 2538 Glenwood Ave.; Homestead Park, 829 E. Dewey Ave.; MVSD, 180 N. Dunlap Ave.; John White Park, 2300 Kimmel Ave.; Wick Park, 260 Park Ave.; Arlington Heights Recreation Center, 903 Otis St. (tournaments); Cardinal Mooney High School, 2545 Erie St. (track and field day).
Walk against heroin
WARREN
Breaking Point Recovery Center is sponsoring the “Addiction is a Disease, Not a Choice: Walk Against Heroin” from 3 to 6 p.m. June 5 at the Warren Amphitheatre, 321 Mahoning Ave.
The Sahara Club II, 2345 Youngstown Road SE, will open its doors at 10 a.m. for a pre-event.
The event will include food, fun and fellowship. Participants are encouraged to bring their children for ice cream and face painting.

Budget proposal
HUBBARD
Copies of the proposed budget and estimate of cost of operation of the Hubbard Public Library, including the cost of operating the public library for fiscal year 2017, are on file in the office of the treasurer of the board of education and open to the inspection of the public.
A public hearing on the proposed budget for the Hubbard Public Library will take place at 5:15 p.m. May 16 in the board room at 108 Orchard Ave.
