Marshall Street traffic blocked after truck strikes railroad bridge

YOUNGSTOWN — Traffic will be blocked off at Marshall Street and Mahoning Avenue and Marshall Street and Oak Hill Avenue after a semi truck struck a railroad bridge today.

The road will be closed for inspectors from CSX railroad to make sure the bridge is safe for rail traffic. All rail traffic has been ceased until the inspection can take place.

The truck was traveling south on Oak Hill when it collided with the bridge. The driver managed to dislodge the truck before police arrived.
