Legal clinic for performers, arts groups this month

Visual and performing artists and arts organizations may schedule a free half-hour or full-hour face-to-face appointment with a volunteer lawyer during legal clinics at the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County’s main branch, 305 Wick Ave.

The legal creative clinics will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 17 and from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 12.

Artists must pre-register at www.legalcreative.org or by emailing info@legalcreative.org.

Consultations are limited to arts business-law topics, such as copyright, trademark, contract and business-formation law.

Volunteer accountants also will be available for consultation.
