Broadway series reveals its lineup

PITTSBURGH

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust has announced the 2016-17 PNC Broadway in Pittsburgh season, which includes the 2015 Tony Award winners for Best Play, Best Musical, Best Musical Revival and Best Choreography.

Season tickets range from $162 to $568. Single tickets go on sale 6 to 8 weeks in advance of the show’s opening.

Here is the schedule:

SDLqFinding Neverland,” Oct. 18-23: Tells the story of playwright J.M. Barrie and how he created one of the world’s most beloved characters, Peter Pan. Benedum Center.

“A Christmas Story, the Musical,” Nov. 22-27: Stage version of the holiday movie standard.

“The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time,” Jan. 3-8, 2017: Fifteen-year-old Christopher is exceptionally intelligent but ill-equipped to interpret everyday life. When he falls under suspicion for killing his neighbor’s dog, he sets out to identify the true culprit, which leads to an earth-shattering discovery.

“Something Rotten!” Jan. 31-Feb. 5, 2017: In the 1590s, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck in the shadow of that Renaissance rock star known as “The Bard.” So they set out to write the world’s first musical.

“The King and I,” April 4-9, 2017: Lincoln Center Theater’s acclaimed production and winner of the Tony for Best Revival of a Musical. Benedum Center.

“Fun Home,” April 11-16: This winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical introduces Alison at three different ages as she explores and unravels the many mysteries of her childhood.

“An American in Paris,” May 30-June 11, 2017: Tony Award-winning musical about an American soldier, a mysterious French girl, and an indomitable European city, each yearning for a new beginning in the aftermath of war. Benedum Center
