Y'town man, 69, beaten after caught going through wallet
YOUNGSTOWN — A 69-year-old Alameda Avenue man is being treated at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital after reports said he was chased by his daughter's boyfriend early Monday morning after he caught him going through his wallet.
Police were called about 3:50 a.m. to Belmont and Foster avenues for a report of a beaten man and when they arrived they found a man bleeding from several wounds.
The man was taken to the hospital, where reports said he told police he was sleeping when he was awakened by his daughter's boyfriend going through his wallet.
Reports said after the victim confronted the boyfriend he chased the victim across several North Side streets, punching and stabbing him.
The man was being beaten until a car pulled up and the boyfriend ran away, reports said
