Joe Bonamassa coming to Covelli

Joe Bonamassa will return to Covelli Centre on Nov. 28. Tickets are $89, $99 and $125 and go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 800-745-3000, and at the Covelli box office.

Bonamassa’s visit is part of his fall North American tour that will promote his newly released album “Blues of Desperation.” He last played Covelli Centre in November 2014.

The Grammy-nominated blues-rock guitarist has been hailed as one of the greatest guitar players of his generation, and is credited with redefining the blues-rock genre.

Bonamassa has racked up 15 No. 1 albums on the Billboard blues chart, more than any other artist.

Past lives seminar at yoga center

Combs founds a charter school

He’s been a rapper, actor, singer, entrepreneur, record producer and clothing designer. Now Sean “Diddy” Combs has taken on a new job as the founder of a charter school in New York City’s Harlem neighborhood.

Combs announced Monday that the Capital Preparatory Harlem Charter School will open in the fall. The school will be overseen by Capital Prep leader Steve Perry, who founded Capital Prep Magnet School in Hartford, Connecticut, in 2005.
