19-year-olds get prison sentences for roles in park robbery


YOUNGSTOWN — Two 19-year-old men, who pleaded guilty to three counts each of aggravated robbery with firearm specifications in a July 14, 2015, robbery of three Poland teens in Yellow Creek Park in Struthers are going to prison for a long time.

Alex G. Seymore, 19, of Woodbine Avenue, Struthers, got eight years in prison; and Kalen M. Handy, of Lakewood Avenue, got six years in prison.

The sentences were imposed this morning by Judge Maureen A. Sweeney of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.
