NORTH JACKSON

A woman was found dead about 4:30 p.m. Saturday in the home of Lake Milton State Park Manager Douglas Lyons on Mahoning Avenue.

The woman, whose identity was not released, was house-sitting for Lyons while he left to take care of his animals, said Milton Township Fire Chief Harold Maynard.

The Milton Township Fire Departments’ medical squad responded to the scene to assist the woman who was unresponsive.

“At this time, the cause of the woman’s death is undetermined; there is nothing suspicious,” Maynard said.

The fire chief said the Mahoning County coroner removed the body for further investigation. A call to the county coroner’s office Sunday was not returned.

The Ohio Attorney General’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation spokesman said a crew processed the scene for evidence but referred questions to the Milton Township Police Department, the lead agency in the investigation.

A spokesman for Milton Township police said information about the incident would be available today.

Mahoning County Sheriff’s Department personnel also assisted at the scene.
