Learn to plant trees with park program


SALEM

The Salem Parks and Recreation Department and Salem Public Library are sponsoring a “Go Wild at the Park” program offering guidance on planting tree seedlings.

Jason Reynolds of the Columbiana County Soil and Water Conservation District will teach techniques to raise healthy trees.

Participants will meet Reynolds at pavilion 9, near the duck pond, at Waterworth Memorial Park at 6 p.m. April 20.

A free tree seedling will be given to the first 25 registered program participants.

This program is free and open to the public.
