Homes for Kids to host Sip and Taste event

Homes For Kids/Child and Family Solutions will host its sixth annual Sip and Taste event from 6 to 9 p.m. April 8 at the Mahoning Country Club, 710 E. Liberty St.

The event will include sampling over 20 wines, craft brews and local spirits from Luva Bella Winery, Mastropietro Winery, Greene Eagle Winery, Paladin Brewing, Candella Micro-Distillery and the Superior Beverage Company. Tapas-style food pairings from Outback Steakhouse in Niles and the Country Club will accompany the sampling. Dessert will be provided by Giannio’s Candy Company. Entertainment will be provided by Almost Acoustic, and there will be silent and live auctions courtesy of Jeff Byce and Byce Auctions.

Proceeds will be used to provide educational and healthy activities for Home For Kids foster children and provide support for behavioral health programs like the Social Skills Support Group and the Bicycling Equals Empowerment Program.

Tickets are $40 per person and are available at www.hfk.org or by calling Danette at 330-544- 8005, ext. 534. Tickets may be available at the door, but reservations are recommended.
