The ABL Wholesale Distributors Trade Show for 2016 will take place from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center, 7440 South Ave.

Manufacturers will be available to answer questions and offer deals on their products.

Equal Pay Day mixer

BOARDMAN

A mixer recognizing Equal Pay Day, a national awareness day that brings attention to the wage gap between men and women, will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. April 12 at Magic Tree Pub & Eatery, 7463 South Ave.

The event will include drink specials, a basket auction, 50/50 raffle, appetizers and networking opportunities.

All proceeds will benefit YWCA of Youngstown’s support for women and families and the Dr. Anne McMahon Scholarship Award, which is awarded each year by the Youngstown Business & Professional Women to a deserving female student pursuing her bachelor’s degree at Youngstown State University.

MVYP schedules 422 Corridor workday

GIRARD

The Mahoning Valley Young Professionals will have a 422 Corridor Community Workday starting at 8:30 a.m. April 30.

The workday starts at Stambaugh Park on Moser Road.

Entrepreneur program looks at ‘Food for Profit’

NEW CASTLE, Pa.

The Regional Entrepreneur 2.0 Programs in New Castle will include a “Food for Profit” program from 8:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. April 12 at New Castle Public Library, 207 E. North St.

Food for Profit will take you step by step through the entrepreneurial process to start or grow a food venture and potentially make a profit.

Chamber plans annual Canfield event

CANFIELD

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will have a “Good Evening, Canfield” event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. April 14 at the Tippecanoe Country Club, 5870 Tippecanoe Road.

This second annual event is focused on development in Canfield. Speakers include Gary O’Nesti of LRC Realty, who will have an update, with the announcement of the popular establishments that are coming into town; John Masternick, owner of Windsor House, will discuss the new nursing facility that will be built on state Route 446 near the Mill Creek MetroParks Farm; and Canfield Mayor Bernie Kosar Sr., Township Trustee Brian Governor and Schools Superintendent Alex Geordan will each share news from their respective areas.
