Open house planned for Ludes’ 50th

An open house honoring the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Lude of Berlin Center will take place at 2 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Ellsworth Fire Station.

Hosting the event will be the couple’s children and their spouses, Kimberly and Jeff Tuchfarber of Marysville, Ohio, James Lude Jr. of Ellsworth, Kenneth and Leslie Lude of Salem and Jason and Lori Lude of Austintown.

Mr. Lude and the former Linda Jones were married Feb. 14, 1966, at Four Mile Run Christian Church in Austintown.

Mrs. Lude worked as a private-duty nurse with Easter Seals in Boardman until retiring in 2013. She is a member of the R-Weigh Club.

Her husband retired in 1997 from USS/Kobe in Lorain where he was a roll turner.

The Ludes are members of Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Their family also includes 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
