Monday is deadline for YWCA art exhibition showcase entries

YOUNGSTOWN — The YWCA Women Artists: A Celebration! is now accepting entries for the 34th annual exhibition showcase.

Online entry and a special rate for artists between the ages of 18-25 is being offered this year. The entry deadline is Monday.

The art exhibition showcases works by local, regional, and national women artists 18 and older. The juried show features all media, including paintings, drawings, photographs, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, and metal work.

This year’s juror is Dr. Stephanie L. Smith, professor of art history at Youngstown State University.

The event will take place June 18 through July 15 at the YWCA, 25 W. Rayen Ave.

The preview party will be from 7 to 9 p.m. June 17.
