Columbiana man wins Rolling 5 prize
COLUMBIANA
Charles Fellhauer of Columbiana matched all five numbers in the Rolling Cash 5 game Tuesday to win $130,000. After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 29 percent, Fellhauer will receive $92,300. He says he has no plans for the money but may buy himself a better truck and save the rest. Fellhauer bought his winning auto lotto ticket from Ann’s Attic, 8 S. Main St. The store will receive a $500 agent bonus for selling the winning ticket.
Crash closes US 62 in Hubbard Township
HUBBARD
U.S. Route 62 was closed in both directions from Interstate 80 here after a semi-truck hit a utility pole blocking the ramp Thursday. No one was injured, but the road was blocked while crews cleaned up the scene, according to 21 WFMJ-TV, The Vindicator’s broadcast partner.
At 10:30 p.m., the road was still closed because of downed power lines, and traffic was diverted to state Route 193. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
Brownlee Woods Association to meet
YOUNGSTOWN
Brownlee Woods Neighborhood Association will meet Thursday at Faith Community Church, 1919 E. Midlothian Blvd.
The evening will begin with refreshments and a social time at 6 p.m., and a business meeting will follow at 6:30. Guest speaker will be Louie Vega from the Mahoning County Green Team. The meetings are open to the public.
Warren shooting on Ferndale Avenue
WARREN
A shooting in the 1800 block of Ferndale Avenue S.W. Thursday night left one person injured and taken to a hospital for treatment. The victim’s condition was unknown, reported 21 WFMJ-TV, The Vindicator’s broadcast partner.
Police and investigators were at the scene looking through a vehicle, and another had bullet holes in it.
The road was taped off during the investigation and police were interviewing witnesses to determine what happened.
