• Warren Women’s Connection, an affiliate of Stonecroft Ministries, invites all women to attend its April 11 luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at DiLucia’s Banquet Center, 2610 Elm Road NE, Warren. The speaker will be Linda Harrah from Parma, Ohio, who will discuss the “Book of Life,” a book that has given her a new perspective. She also collects teapots and teacups and will share a few of her favorites. Those attending are encouraged to wear a hat for a discussion of tea party tips. Christy Lee Roose will be the vocalist. Stonecroft Ministries is a nondenominational organization that reaches out to women worldwide. Luncheons take place the second Monday of every month at a cost of $13.

• GFWC Ohio Boardman-Poland Junior Women’s League will meet at 7 p.m. April 4 at Glenellen, 9661 Market St., North Lima. Past presidents will meet at 6 to discuss the constitution. A guest speaker will be from Frisky Ferrets, Fuzzies and Feathered Friends Rescue and Sanctuary. Members should take items from the F5RS wish list to benefit the animals of the sanctuary, and also are asked to take a bottle of body wash for Veterans Blessing Bags. Hostesses are Tina Bellino, Nina Lowery and Sperry Rongone, who will share food from their Italian heritage. The league is open to all women over 18 who reside in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties and are interested in friendship, fun and community involvement. SUPPORT GROUPS
• Alzheimer Network Family Support Group will meet at noon April 2 at Sunrise Assisted Living of Poland, 335 W. McKinley Way. • NAMI Mahoning Valley will offer support groups for those who deal with mental illness. Family support groups, providing information for family members and friends of individuals with mental illness, will be offered the first Thursday of each month in Trumbull County at 11 a.m. at the Girard Library, 105 E. Prospect St., and on the second Tuesday of each month in Mahoning County at 7 p.m. at the D&E Center, 142 Javit Court, Austintown. The Connection support group aims to connect individuals who live with mental illness in a structured discussion format. It is limited to adults living with a mental health diagnosis in order to promote self-disclosure in a safe, confidential environment. It is free and open to anyone with a mental health diagnosis. They meet for a day session at 1:30 p.m. each Thursday at the community center, 1344 Fifth Ave., Youngstown, and in the evenings 6 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursday of each month at the D&E Center. • R-Weigh Weight Support Groups meet on Mondays at First Friends Church, 1028 Jennings Ave., Salem. Afternoon weigh-in is from 1 to 1:30 p.m., and the meeting will follow at 1:45. Evening weigh-ins are from 5 to 6 p.m. followed by the meeting at 6:15. The first meeting is free. Guests are welcome. The club is an all-volunteer, nonprofit group of women helping women to lose weight. All money paid in goes back to the members in incentives to lose weight.
