Rise Pies to open at Eastwood complex

Rise Pies announced Wednesday it will begin serving customers at the Eastwood Mall Complex this summer.

The new restaurant will be located in the Howland Commons section of the complex, occupying more than 2,600 square feet next to Bloomberg Optical and One Hot Cookie, just north of Texas Roadhouse.

An additional outdoor patio area will provide seating for warm-weather dining and carryout service will also be available.

Rise Pies offers handcrafted pizza using dough made fresh daily and locally sourced ingredients.

Grant applications

COLUMBUS

The Walmart Foundation will begin to accept grant applications to its State Giving Program on April 4.

Ohio nonprofit organizations can apply for grants between $25,000 and $200,000 to support programs that focus on hunger relief and healthy eating, career opportunity and disaster preparedness.

The deadline to submit grant requests is 11:59 p.m. April 15.

Grant submissions are accepted only online at www.walmartfoundation.org/stategiving.
