2 young sisters die in western Ohio house fire

WAYNESFIELD, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say a house fire in western Ohio has left two young sisters dead.

The blaze broke out around 6:45 a.m. Wednesday just north of Waynesfield in Auglaize County. The county sheriff’s office says firefighters and police tried to get into the home but were beaten back by the fire.

Authorities say 10-year-old Trinity Lhamon and 7-year-old Keelin Doty were later found dead inside.

The sheriff’s office says no other details will be disclosed because of the investigation. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Waynesfield-Goshen Superintendent Chris Pfister says the school system is on break until Tuesday but is working to develop a plan for dealing with the situation when students come back to school.
