Man gets prison time in fatal Cleveland drunken-driving crash

CLEVELAND (AP) — A 26-year-old man is heading to prison for a drunken-driving crash that killed a 41-year-old woman in Cleveland last year.

Cleveland.com reports Nicholas Cantie was sentenced Tuesday to 13 years behind bars in the wreck that killed Keyva Jones and left two others injured.

Cantie pleaded guilty earlier this month to aggravated vehicular homicide, operating a vehicle while impaired and related offenses.

Authorities say the man was drunk and speeding when his sedan ran a stoplight, hit a 47-year-old man in a crosswalk and crashed into Jones’ minivan, killing her.
