Boar’s Head Group of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve chicken or fish dinners from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. The meal includes mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, salad, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. For Lent, lemon butter baked fish and macaroni and cheese will be served with green beans, salad, bread and butter and pie. The cost is $8. No reservations are necessary. Canfield Christian Church, 123 S. Broad St., Canfield, will sponsor a Lenten breakfast from 7 to 9 a.m. Breakfasts are free; a freewill offerings will be accepted. For information call 330-533-2246.

FRIDAY

American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will a fish fry from 3 to 7 p.m. Haddock, chicken or shrimp will be served with fries, roll and coleslaw for $9. Extra fish is $3.50, and pirogi are $3.50. Punch and coffee will be available. For information call 330-654-5630.

Canfield Lions Club will have a fish fry from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. Meals include a choice of baked or fried fish; french fries, macaroni and cheese, pirogi or haluski; and coleslaw, green beans, roll, dessert and beverage. The cost is $11. Carryout meals will be available.

First Presbyterian Church, 3654 Main St., Mineral Ridge will host a fish dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Meal includes fried or baked haddock, green beans, french fries, haluski or macaroni and cheese. Cost is $9 for adults, $4 for children 4 to 12 and free for kids 3 and under.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.75. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

St. Nicholas School, 762 Fifth St., Struthers, will sell takeout-only pasta fagioli and haluski in the great hall from noon to 5 p.m. or until sold out. Pasta fagioli will be $5.50 per quart, and haluski with homemade spaetzle is $8 per quart. There is no need to leave your car; pull up to the awning of the great hall, and your meal will be taken to you. Advance orders are encouraged at 330-719-4998, but not required. Proceeds will defray the cost of the seventh- and eighth-grade trip to Chicago.

Valley Christian Schools, 4401 Southern Blvd., Youngstown, will offer takeout fish dinners from 3 to 6 p.m. Meal comprises baked Italian or fried fish, a choice of side from macaroni and cheese, haluski or pirogi, and coleslaw or applesauce and bread and butter. No beverages are available. Cost is $10 for adults and $6 for children under 10.

SATURDAY

Aut Mori Grotto, 563 N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown, will host a pancake, sausage and egg breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children 12 and under and free for kids 2 and under. Proceeds benefit Grotto charities and the building addition fund. For information call 330-629-9679.

Beaver Township Fire Department will offer a pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to noon at the township safety building, 601 W. South Range Road, North Lima. A canned-food donation is requested for admission. There will be a 50-50 raffle. The meal also will include eggs, sausage, juice and coffee. Takeout is available. Proceeds will benefit the fire department.

North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will sponsor a breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. for a donation. An all-you-can-eat-breakfast will include eggs, pancakes, French toast, sausage, potatoes, homemade pastries, sausage gravy and biscuits, peppers and mushrooms, coffee, orange juice and other beverages. TAKING ORDERS

Christ The Good Shepherd Parish at St. John the Baptist Church, 159 Reed Ave., Campbell, is taking orders from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today for homemade haluski. Cost is $5 a quart; call Mary Ann at 330-726-5451 or 330-755-0036. Pickup will be 10 a.m. to noon Friday.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, is taking orders for apple and cherry strudel for $10 each and cheese strudel for $12 each. Call 330-550-6628 to order. Pickup is from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Friday.

UPCOMING

Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 420 Clearmount Drive, Youngstown, will host a spaghetti dinner fundraiser from noon to 4 p.m. April 3. The meal will include meatballs, salad, bread, beverage and dessert. Cost is $8 for adults, $5 for children under 12 and free for children under 3. Takeout is available.
