The Liberty school board approved contracts for two members of the administrative staff at its Monday night meeting.
Anthony Daniels, coordinator of technology, received a two-year contract at $41,000 a year, effective July 1 through June 30, 2018, said district Treasurer Bradley Panak.
Jessica Kohler, special-education supervisor, received a three-year contract at $63,000 a year, effective July 1 through June 30, 2019.
The board also approved two supplemental contracts of $1,612 each to Hannah Struharik and Justin Hideg for their work as assistant junior varsity track coaches during the 2015-16 school year.
In other business, the board approved two field trips with district transportation. In recognition of Earth Day, first-graders will travel to Church Hill Park on a date to be set in April, and kindergarten students will visit Boardman Park on May 13.
Additionally, board members approved guidelines for a $500 scholarship available to Liberty High School students through Medical Mutual.
Members also moved to use $1,000 donated by Jimmy’s Italian Specialities to establish a scholarship fund account for a high-school student planning to attend Youngstown State University.
The board recognized two students – junior Ahmad Amireh and Jihad Esmail – for their success on the high-school debate team. The students were accompanied by Amber Gallagher, speech and debate coach, and Danny Monroe, assistant coach.
