Homeowner tells police guns were taken in Boardman break-in

BOARDMAN — An 89-year-old resident and his daughter told police someone broke into their home on Tippecanoe Road between Feb. 1 and March 21 and stole various items.

The items reported missing included a flat screen TV, a blue ray player, and several firearms, including two shotguns, three pistols and two revolvers.

The home reportedly belonged to the 89-year-old man who was staying with his daughter in Burke, Va. while still storing many belongings at his home. When he arrived to his home on Monday, he saw that someone had broken into it.

Neighbors told police they hadn't witnessed a break-in.
