Flamingos return for fundraiser

Every year, the buzzards come back to Hinkley, and at First Federated Church, 10786 Mahoning Ave., the pink flamingos come back, too.

The church is preparing for April Fools Day, April 1. For $1 an entrant can suggest the name of a person to be “flocked” when they wake up to a yard full of dozens of hot pink plastic flamingos the morning of April 1.

Proceeds will benefit the church food pantry.To contribute to this charity and enjoy having a friend “flocked,” call the church 330-538-3936 or email ffcpastor@neo.rr.com.

If you don’t want a yard full of plastic, flamingo insurance is available for only $5 to make sure they migrate elsewhere.
