Campbell woman faces drug charge after traffic stop


LIBERTY — A traffic stop Monday led to a felony charge of possession of crack cocaine.

Police stopped a pickup truck driven by Carmen Moran, 53, of Campbell at Colonial Drive and Belmont Avenue for crossing the center line and driving down the middle of the roadway at about 1 a.m., according to a police report.

The vehicle was towed due to suspensions listed for Moran's license, police reported. Police took inventory of the vehicle before it was towed and saw a small plastic bag containing suspected crack cocaine near the driver's seat, according to a police report.
