WHISPERING PINES district awards dinner
Eagle Scouts and other youths and adults were recognized at the Whispering Pines District, Greater Western Reserve Council, Boy Scouts of America’s awards dinner on Sunday at St. James Episcopal Church in Boardman. Eagle Scout is the highest award for Boy Scouts. Members of the Whispering Pines Eagle Scout Class of 2015 are:
Andy Gretsinger, Troop 60, who led the Pledge of Allegiance; Kevin Yacucci, Troop 115; Jared Musial, Troop 49; Nicholas Mozingo, Troop 101; Jeremy Blackson, Troop 119; Robert Haid, Troop 71; Tommy Woolf III, Troop 71; Roderick Headland, Troop 71; Philipp Bell, Troop 46; Matthew Bodnark, Troop 184. James Touville, Troop 49; Robert Thomas, Troop 49; Michael DiRienzo, Troop 60; Tristan Smith, Troop 80; Mark Stein, Troop 44; Kiel Fizet, Troop 22; Alex Filicky, Troop 60; Hayden Coxson, Troop 9055; and Hunter Herzberger, Troop 9055.

District Scouting Family of the Year, Kelly family of Canfield; Scoutmaster of the Year, Jeff Wormley, Troop 101, Struthers; Cubmaster of the Year, Donald Wittman, Pack 27, Boardman; 50 years of service, John Stroney, who was also Scouter of the Year, and William Warnecke; District Commissioner of the Year, Rich Gent; Cubmasters Key Award, Patton Gilland and Pat Kelly; and Scoutmaster Key Award, Kurt Hilderbrand.
