Buy, reopen Idora Park to grow Mill Creek revenue

I would like to add my 2-cents’ worth, which Mill Creek Park could probably use.

First off, it was 100 percent wrong to dismiss loyal employees after receiving voter approval of a tax levy. The park needs a progressive innovative leader. You need to have activities in the park that will generate money for its upkeep and salaries.

I can think of a dozen things without compromising the park. First off, try to buy the old Idora Park land and start small with some rides and amusements. This town is lessened by the loss of Idora Park. How about a water slide, restaurant, hamburger/hotdog, snow-cone stand!

When you have the concerts in the park, I believe people would be willing to pay a small fee for national arts. What about an ice skating rink?

Maybe a singles’ function at the flats with minimum fee with refreshments. The ideas are endless for someone willing to try different things.

It makes no sense to me to not try to make money in this beautiful park. If that leader of the park refuses to try to offset the upkeep and keep employees, then it’s time for new leadership.

Where is the love that once united our nation?

I feel that America is going to destroy itself because of all the hate we see on TV. Turning on the people who are different, the race card is playing more each day by our government.

Our president has turned against our Armed Forces and our cops. We have no respect for them. We have no respect for each other. We have no respect for life; it doesn’t matter what race you are. We have lost the meaning of “United We Stand.” Americans forgot who we are.

We are a people that are free because the creator brought us to this land so we can stand together as one. It doesn’t matter who you are, Democrat or Republican or Independent. No one should divide us. Are we going to let one person destroy us because he hates us? No! If we don’t stop this hate, he wins. When we the people stand together, we can move a mountain of lies.

Why are we destroying each other? Are we so brainwashed from what we got from the government schooling since 1963. The Creator was banned from our schools so this is how we lose our country.

No American should hate another American; this is wrong ,or are we so divided we can’t come back being the greatest nation we should be and having the Creator blessing us again with jobs and being united as one people and being healthy.

This is a sad day for America. We have lost the love for country and love for people.
