Alzheimer's Association will "Paint the Night Purple"

The Alzheimer’s Association Greater East Ohio Area Chapter will host its “Paint the Night Purple” benefit dinner and auction April 16 at The Lake Club, 1140 Paulin Road. Cocktails and a social hour will commence at 6 p.m. and dinner will follow at 7. Guests are encouraged to wear purple, the signature color of the association. The event will include live entertainment and live and silent auction items. Jess Briganti, weather anchor at 21 WFMJ-TV, will serve as mistress of ceremonies.

Howland neurologist Holly Maggiano M.D. will be presented with the 2016 Champion Award in recognition of her efforts in the fight to end Alzheimer’s disease through the care and compassion she provides her patients and their families. Maggiano has been treating patients with Alzheimer’s disease, as well as Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy and other neurological disorders for more than 20 years. She received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and biology from Youngstown State University and her medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio at the University of Toledo. She completed her residency and fellowship at the Neurological Institute at the Cleveland Clinic.

Paint the Night Purple is presented by Stadium GM and VEC Inc. A highlight auction item will be made possible by jewelry sponsor Komara Jewelers.
