300 Sisters in Red will gather at Kilcawley

The Youngstown Chapter of Links Inc. in conjunction with Mercy Health will host the 11th annual “300 Sisters in Red” health screening and awareness program from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 9 in Kilcawley Center on the campus of Youngstown State University.

Medical screenings will begin early for participants who are fasting. The event will include educational sessions, exercise and a healthy lunch.

The 2016 program will be “The Heart of the Matter” and focus on heart disease in women and encouraging exercise. The Youngstown Heart Association will demonstrate hands-only CPR.

Luncheon speaker Dr. Surender Neravetla, a cardiovascular surgeon, will discuss salt in the modern diet and its harmful affects. Registration is required by April 1. For registration forms call Community Health Education at 330-480-3070.
