Hope for Recovery program on addiction is Saturday in Champion

CHAMPION — The Hope for Recovery event to share information about addiction will be presented by the Trumbull County Opiate Task Force 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday in the Classroom Building at Kent State University at Trumbull. It is free and open to the public.

Organizers hope to reach county residents who have a loved one or friend dealing with substance abuse to let them know that there is hope, people can change, addicts can recover and families can heal.

The task force is a program of the Trumbull County Mental Health and Recovery Board and the Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention.

The event is sponsored by Mercy Health Behavioral Health Institute, Someplace Safe, Valley Counseling Services, Glenbeigh ACMC Healthcare System, Compass/Community Solutions Association, Help Hotline Crisis Center and The Basement Outreach Ministries.
