Gas prices increase

YOUNGSTOWN

Northeast Ohio gas prices are on the rise this week, according to AAA East Central’s Fuel Gauge report.

Northeast Ohio gas prices have spiked nearly 25 cents to $1.936 a gallon. The national average is $1.945. The Youngstown average is $1.851.

Real-estate classes

Individuals who wish to obtain licensure as an Ohio real-estate salesman will have the opportunity to begin coursework in the Williamson College of Business Administration at Youngstown State University starting Monday.

Real-estate law will last for 10 sessions Mondays and Wednesdays beginning Monday through April 20 for $295.

Real-estate principles and practices will be 10 sessions offered Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Tuesday through April 21 for $295.

Classes available in May are real-estate appraisal, which is five sessions Mondays and Wednesdays from May 2-16 and Nov. 2-16 for $195, and real-estate finance, which is five sessions, for $195 from May 3-17 and Nov. 1-15.

All classes are offered from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. in Williamson Hall, 221 N. Hazel St. Early registration will ensure a place in the courses.

Autonomous braking

DETROIT

Major automakers and the U.S. government have reached an agreement to make automatic emergency braking standard equipment on most cars by 2022, two people briefed on the deal said.

The agreement will be announced today by 20 automakers and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
