A listing of area Easter egg hunts and other activities that will be offered this weekend, as submitted to The Vindicator:

COLUMBIANA COUNTY

Columbiana: Lunch with the Easter Bunny, 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Columbiana Dairy Queen, 241 E. Park Ave. A $5 lunch will include a sandwich, chips, drink and dessert. For each dollar spent, guests will get a ticket for a basket raffle for children age 2 to 10. There will be photos with the Easter Bunny, who will hand out free candy-filled eggs, cupcake decorating and the opportunity to pet live bunnies.

Columbiana: “Dog’gone” Easter egg hunt, registration at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Firestone Park. The Humane Society of Columbiana County will host a noon hunt for dogs and their owners; dogs must touch an egg with their nose to allow their partner to put it in a bag. Cost to participate is $5. The hunt is sponsored by Dogs on the Run in East Palestine. Select eggs can be redeemed for raffle tickets to win baskets and larger prizes, including an Easter dinner, tickets to a Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game, Sandusky African Safari Wildlife Park passes and more. The outdoor event also will include photos with the Easter Bunny from 11:30 to 1 p.m., a bake sale and vendors. Dogs must be leashed and park rules must be followed at all times, including cleanup.

East Palestine: East Palestine Rotary Club breakfast with the Easter Bunny is set for 9 to 11 a.m. and an egg hunt will take place at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at East Palestine Park. A pancake and sausage breakfast in the community center will include a visit from the Easter Bunny. Cost is $5 for adults and $2.50 for children. The breakfast will feature a basket auction. Proceeds from the meal and auction will benefit planned construction of a dog park by the Rotary Club. Photos with the Easter Bunny will be taken from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., and matted pictures can be purchased for $8. The hunt is divided into four age groups: Pre-school; kindergarten and first grade; second, third and fourth grade; and fifth grade. Prizes in more than 5,000 eggs will include candy, gift certificates, small toys and special eggs with notes earning larger prizes.

MAHONING COUNTY

Boardman: Pet-photo night with the Easter Bunny, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Southern Park Mall, 7401 Market St. Pets are welcome to have their photo taken with the Easter bunny; the event is offered after mall hours, and the area will be cleaned thoroughly afterward to protect any allergy-sufferers.

Boardman: Photos with the Easter Bunny at Southern Park Mall, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday now through March 26 in the mall at 7401 Market St.

Boardman: Free indoor egg hunt Friday at Bridge of Hope Church, 7580 Glenwood Ave. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. It will feature 12,000 eggs for children from age 3 to 10. Games and prizes will be featured. For information, call 330-726-8141 or visit www.bohchurch.net/egghunt.

Boardman: “Read to Some Bunny” event, 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Boardman Library, 7680 Glenwood Ave. Be a book buddy and read to a licensed therapy rabbit. School-age children are welcome to sit and read aloud for 20 minutes.

Canfield: Breakfast and tea with the Easter Bunny. Breakfasts from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sunday and March 26; and tea from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Piccadilly Parlour Victorian Tea Room, 114 S. Broad St. Cost for each is $16.95 per child and $17.95 per adult. Each meal includes fun, easy-to-eat selections for kids and elegant selections for adults. Reservations required. Call 330-533-4749. Poland: Egg hunt, 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Poland Town Hall gazebo and grounds, 308 S. Main St. Poland Junior Women’s Club and New Life Church offers an egg hunt for children through grade 4. Egg hunts will be divided into age groups: children up to age 3, 1:15 p.m. in the garden behind the town hall; children 4 to 6, 1:30 p.m. at the gazebo; and children 7 to 10, 1:45 p.m. on the north lawn. All children are invited to enjoy face painting, story time, balloon animals, character visits, community vehicles, photos with the Easter Bunny and cookies and cocoa. Poland: Egg hunt, 11 a.m. Saturday, Heritage Presbyterian Church, 1951 Mathews Road. The event is free and open to children 11 and younger. There will be games, candy and more. The event will be offered outside, weather permitting, or moved inside in case of rain. Little Learners Preschool also will have an open house. Youngstown: Seventh annual egg hunt and pancake breakfast, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Wick Park Recreation Center, 260 Park Ave. The Wick Park Neighborhood Association, with support from former Councilwoman Annie Gillam, Ursuline High School, YSU Greek Organization and the Youngstown Rotary, will host the event. Crafts, coloring contest, science table, Easter bunny and face-painting begin at 11 a.m., and the egg hunt begins at noon. Children will be grouped by age with staggered start times. All children should be accompanied by a responsible adult. First 100 children registered will receive a goodie bag. Take your own basket and dress for weather and mud; rain boots are strongly suggested. The breakfast will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The suggested donation is $5 for adults and $2 for kids.

Youngstown: It’s Springtastic! event, 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, OH WOW! Children’s Center, 11 W. Federal St. Creative Events and Designs presents a chance for guests to enjoy exhibits, story time with superheroes and princesses, dance performances, photos with the Easter Bunny, and a magic show by Tom Phoolery. Youngstown: Egg hunt, 2:30 p.m. registration; 3 p.m. hunt Sunday near 53 Lucius Avenue, between Market Street and Southern Boulevard. Hosted by the ICU Blockwatch Group and St. Dominic Church. Area will be sectioned off into four age groups for children 2 to 12, and children will hunt for specially marked eggs to win a bike, gift cards or Easter basket. Leavittsburg: Egg hunt, 11 a.m. Sunday, in the family life center of Leavittsburg Church of God, 610 S. Leavitt Road.

Niles: Easter Bunny breakfast sponsored by Salvatore’s Pizzeria, 9 a.m. Saturday, food court, Eastwood Mall, 5555 Youngstown-Warren Road. There will be F.A.B. face painting, Easter crafts and more. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children. Reservations are required, call 330-652-6980, ext. 31504.

Niles: Easter bunny pet photos, 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Eastwood Mall, 5555 Youngstown Warren Road. Pets are welcome to have their photo taken with the Easter bunny; pets must be on a leash or in a carrier.

Warren: Easter Eggstravaganza, 1 p.m. Saturday, Grace United Methodist Church, 1725 Drexel Ave. NW, Warren. Eggs, candy, snacks, entertainment and more will be offered. Rain or shine. The hunt will begin promptly at 1; arrive early.
