YSU went 1-1 in last week’s Horizon League Tournament with a thrilling 65-63 win over Oakland and an 81-54 loss to Wright State. Jackson had 24 points and 15 rebounds and hit the game-winning shot in the win over the Golden Grizzlies. ... McCombs, a YSU Hall of Famer, was a four-year starter with the Penguins from 1994-98. She was twice named second-team All-Mid-Continent Conference and helped lead the Penguins to the NCAA Tournament in 1996 and 1998. She ranks eighth in YSU history in points, fifth in assists, sixth in steals, seventh in 3-pointers and 19th in rebounds.
