Ricco Acevedo sentenced to six years in prison

WARREN — Ricco A. Acevedo, 38, of Girard and Wilson Street in Struthers was sentenced to six years in prison today in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court after pleading guilty to felony domestic violence felonious assault, burglary and violting a protection order involving his former girlfriend.

The woman went to Girard police June 4, 2015, to report that Acevedo punched and kicked her in the face and chest at her home on Howard Street.

The woman had major bruising to the side of her face, and her eye was swollen shut, police said. He came to visit his child, but she refused. He also took her cellphone, she said.
