Boardman police arrest Youngstown man on warrants

BOARDMAN — A Youngstown man was arrested on warrants early today for theft, obstructing official business and felony identity theft after he purportedly stole his brother's identity during a previous arrest. 

Charged is Marquelle Boatwright, 26, of Park Avenue. 

The identity theft charge stems from a Feb. 29 report in which Boatwright's brother alleged that Boatwright used his identity during an arrest for theft earlier that month. The brother found that there was a warrant in his name for failing to appear in court. 

Boatwright was taken to the Mahoning County jail this morning. He is scheduled to appear in Mahoning County Area Court here Thursday.
