SUPER TUESDAY | Majority of absentee voters oppose Poland school levy renewal

Fifty-two percent of Poland voters who submitted absentee ballots were against a school renewal levy, according to early results released by the Mahoning County Board of Elections.

Those results indicate that 443 absentee voters were against a five-year renewal of the district’s 3.6-mill operating levy that generates $1,369,748 per year. 407 absentee voters were in favor of the renewal.

Absentee results show that 58 percent of voters were in favor of renewal of the township’s 2-mill levy for current expenses that generates $245,469 annually.

Non-absentee results have not yet been released.
