SUPER TUESDAY | Clinton has large lead over Sanders in Columbiana County; Strickland has lead for Senate

LISBON — Hillary Clinton leads 56 percent to 44 percent over Bernie Sanders in the Democratic race for president in early voting Columbiana County.

Former Gov. Ted Strickland, running for U.S. Senate against P.G. Sittenfeld, leads 71 percent to 16 percent for Sittenfeld. The winner will face GOP incumbent U.S. Rob Portman in November. Portman was well ahead of his opponent in Columbiana County, with 79 percent of the early vote.

Donald Trump, GOP front-runner for president, has a narrow lead over Ohio Gov. John Kasich in early voting in the county.
