Bret Michaels will play Mountaineer

CHESTER, W.VA.

Bret Michaels will come to The Harv auditorium at Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack and Resort on May 28.

Michaels achieved fame as the frontman of the rock band Poison in the 1980s and 1990s.

Tickets start at $20 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at etix.com.

White House Farm weekend event

CANFIELD

White House Fruit Farm will present its annual White House Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, a family-friendly event that heralds the coming of spring.

Ohio food vendors will be on hand, offering samples, according to Debbie Pifer, White House owner.

A large selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, deli and bakery items and locally produced maple syrup will be featured In the 10,000-square-foot farm market, which is on state Route 62, 10 miles south of Canfield. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.
