SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR | Canfield Lions Club recently gathered and welcomed guest speaker Dr. Richard Lehrer, a member of the Jackson Township Lions Club and chair of the sight conservation committee in Lions district 13D, who discussed vision screening and detection in preschool children. He provided information about KidSight USA, an international Lions program targeted to children 6 months to 6 years old that offers detection, screening and referrals for professional follow-up care, if needed. Dr. Lehrer is shown demonstrating the ease of use of a screening device called PlusOptix, which is available to any Lions in the district. The Canfield Lions meet on the first and third Thursday of the month at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield.
