Police lose stun weapon in West Federal melee

YOUNGSTOWN — A city police officer lost his electronic stun weapon early Sunday morning while trying to arrest a man in the 100 block of West Federal Street.

Reports said several officers were in the area because of a large fight and a crowd that would not disperse. Reports said at least two people were taken into custody for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct charges.

An officer who helped take one of those men into custody lost his stun weapon during a struggle with the suspect, reports said. Police searched the area but could not find the weapon.
