YOUNGSTOWN — Democratic candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders says he needs voters help to transform the country.
Speaking at the Covelli Centre, Sanders is also hitting key themes from throughout his campaign, such as reforming campaign finance and taking on what he termed "corporate America" and the "corporate media."
Sanders said we must address harsh truths in order to move the country forward.
Sanders says one of the biggest differences between him and rival Hillary Clinton is the way they spend money.
Sanders said he has received more than 5 million campaign contributions with an average contribution of $27.
He contrasted that with the super PACs Clinton has organized and the speeches she has given to business executives at exorbitant rates yet she refuses to disclose the contents of the speeches.

Sanders said Clinton supported trade agreements that were disastrous to the country and the Youngstown area, agreements he said he opposed.
Sanders also proposed injecting 1 trillion into rebuilding roads and water systems, which he said would also lead to the creation of 13 million jobs.
He was introduced by state Sen. Nina Turner, D-Cleveland, to cries of "Feel!" and "Bern."
Sanders said in a gravelly voice a lot has happened in his campaign, a campaign that no one gave much of a chance. He sounded confident on the eve of the primary.
"We will come out with a win in Ohio," Sanders said.
Sanders said this election is one where the country needs to be transformed.
Sanders concluded his remarks at the Covelli Centre by saying "change always comes from the bottom up."
Sanders also said it is a farce that he can not win a national election. He said polls show him beating Republican front runner Donald Trump at a far greater rate than Hillary Clinton.
He also said voter turnout is crucial because every election he has won has been because of high voter turnout.
The center is about a third full. It is a primarily younger crowd that is in attendance.
