2 Liberty schools briefly evacuated today

LIBERTY — E.J. Blott Elementary and W.S. Guy Middle schools were evacuated for about an hour this morning after a student gave a threatening note to a teacher. The boy, a sixth-grader, told the teacher he had found the note, but Superintendent Stan Watson said that officials determined the boy had written it. Township police inspected the building and determined it was safe for students and school personnel to return. The police investigation continues. The boy is a student at Guy Middle School, but since the schools are connected, both were evacuated.
