A central Ohio man has decided to quit one of his jobs after learning he’d won a $5 million prize in the Ohio Lottery Mega Millions game.
The Mansfield News Journal reported that 53-year-old Ricky Rhinebolt of Mansfield matched five numbers in Tuesday’s drawing. He’s expected to receive about $3.5 million after taxes.
Rhinebolt said Friday that he’s quit his job at the taxi company where he worked for five years but doesn’t plan to retire anytime soon. He recently took a job working third shift at a plastics company to save money for a trip to Hawaii. His wife, Peggy, says she’d like to buy a house.
An Ohio Lottery spokesman says the chances of picking 5 numbers as Rhinebolt did are 18.5 million-to-1.
