NOAS sponsors adoption, foster-care series

Northeast Ohio Adoption Services, 5000 E. Market St., Suite 26, invites Ohio couples or singles to register for a free adoption/foster care pre-placement education series starting Saturday.

People who have been considering becoming a foster or adoptive parent, adults older than 21, are invited to find out more about Ohio children and teens served by the child welfare system while waiting for a permanent home.

The informative sessions continue through April 12, and will cover the care, commitment, and strategies that are helpful for adoptive/foster children.

Participants must sign up for classes by Thursday by contacting Cindy Wallis at 800-686-6627, ext. 126. An information packet also will be mailed.

If a participant cannot attend a certain session, make up opportunities are available.
