up for adoption
How to adopt: Call West Side Cats at 330-792-4228. Visit them at the shelter at 2217 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown.
Name: Churchill
Info: This male feline was brought to West Side Cats on Feb. 19 with a wound on his flank, that has healed nicely with some treatment. This white cat with black spots is a bit quiet so he often gets overlooked, but he’s quite friendly when he learns more about you. He gets along well with other cats. Due to his quiet nature, older children would be better for him, but it’s unknown how he’ll be with dogs. Churchill is now located at Pet-Smart in Boardman — take a ride there to say hello!
Name: Aster
Info: Aster arrived at the shelter a few weeks ago with eight other cats from the Chicago area. Her birth date is June 21, 2008. She is very friendly and gets along well with other felines, and seems to love children. Because volunteers aren’t sure of her background, it’s not known how Aster will get along with dogs. She’s also at PetSmart in Boardman until she finds a good home with a good family. Stop by and see if she’ll fit in with you!
Hours: 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; Closed Sunday and Monday.
Info: Both cats have been neutered and are up-to-date on their shots. They tested negative for feline AIDS and leukemia. They have been flea-treated and dewormed and are ready to go home.
