UPDATE | Clinton pledges to defend the middle class

YOUNGSTOWN — Hillary Clinton said if she's elected president, she'll build up manufacturing and protect American businesses from unfair competition from other nations.

She also talked about public education saying, "There are too many Republicans who want to shut down public education."

Clinton, the Democratic presidential front runner, added: "We can't let Republicans continue to dismantle the middle class."

She spoke for about 20 minutes to a crowd of about 500, urging them to vote for her in Tuesday's Democratic primary.

A packed house at M7 Technologies enthusiastically welcomed Clinton to M7 Technologies in Youngstown. She ended her comments shortly after 9 p.m.
